Bright Joins First Team Coaching Staff

We are delighted to be able to announce the arrival of Paul Bright as First Team coach.

Paul holds the UEFA A Licence as well as a CONCACAF A Licence (USSF), and is a Qualified Teacher and University Lecturer in the topic area of Football Coaching.

His current roles include Technical Director for The Coaching Manual and Technical Consultant for AYSO United in the United States, as well as a Coach Educator for the US Soccer Federation.

He has held coaching positions at English Premier League Academies, including Manchester United and Everton FC, as well as roles as Academy Manager at FC United and Youth Development Phase Coach at Oldham Athletic. Paul was also the Director of Coaching at LA Galaxy OC in Los Angeles, California.

Paul revealed how he first became aware of the opportunity to get involved with the club. “I have known Rob Fuller and Phil Edgehill for a number of years, and was aware of Alex Frost during his playing days. When the First Team staff approached me and explained the project for the First Team as well as the club as a whole, it was something that definitely appealed to me and matched my skill set.’

‘I am looking forward to getting back on the pitch and supporting the First Team, along with implementing a clear coaching philosophy, style of play and curriculum using The Coaching Manual for the entire club at all ages.’

Chairman Robert Fuller is delighted with the latest addition to the club’s coaching staff. ‘Paul’s record speaks for itself; he has worked with some of the best young players in the world, and we are thrilled that he has now decided to share his expertise with our club. I am sure that players at every level will benefit from his involvement with us.’
