Avro Football Club is delighted to announce that Dean Brathwaite has agreed to join the club as Head of Junior Football.
Dean set up the Bee-Inspired Football Academy in 2017, with an initial focus on running one to one extra training sessions. However, the following year he also established a number of junior football teams, who have won numerous accolades over the last seven years in their respective age groups. He has also continued his one to one sessions and has worked extensively with Manchester City stars James McAtee, Nico O’Reilly and Liam Delap in that capacity.
‘I am tremendously excited about this new role’, Dean admitted. ‘We did amazingly well with the Bee-Inspired teams, and built up excellent relationships with academies at a number of professional clubs. However, because we were not affiliated to a club, there was always a limit to what we could offer our players in terms of progression. I will now have the opportunity to oversee the development of players from their very first steps in football right through to their introduction to senior club football. Avro’s junior teams have been fantastically successful in recent years, but I truly believe that they are a sleeping giant in terms of their maximum potential. I cannot wait to start working towards that goal in a place that I nowadays think of as home.’
