A goal in each half ensured that Avro surrendered their unbeaten preseason record in their last friendly encounter, as NPL Premier Division side Guiseley deservedly claimed the spoils.

And then as full time approached and they committed more men forward in search of the equaliser, Guiseley substitute Miguel Valsau exploited the extra space available to him to slide home his side’s second and thus secure the victory with five minutes remaining.
