Avro have strengthened their defensive options with the signing of former Scotland youth international Cameron Bell from NPL Division One West rivals Clitheroe.
Bell spent nine years in the Everton academy before moving back north of the border to join Glasgow Rangers. He is no stranger to the Vestacare Stadium this season, having appeared for Clitheroe in their FA Trophy success against us back in September as well as their league defeat last month.
Manager Grant Shenton had this to say about the latest addition to the 25-26 squad:
‘Cam is another young player who we feel can add even more depth to what we need. His attitude has been brilliant, and he is clearly hungry to get better. He has come in at a weird time with us not having had any games recently, so we have only been able to work with him in training. However that training has been at a really intense level and he has excelled, so he will be in the squad tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing what he can bring us in a match situation.’
