We are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Kenny.
Jack is no stranger to The Vestacare who had a brief spell on loan with The Ro two years ago, when he joined on loan from Stockport County. He became an instant fan favourite after a goal on his debut in a 3-1 victory against Vauxhall Motors. After this debut he continued to impress in defence and comfortably showed that he was capable of the step up after a previous loan stint at Stockport Town.
After his loan ended, he joined Chadderton FC last summer where he continued to progress and develop as a player. He was an ever-present in the Chadderton back line, making over 50 appearances in a busy season.
He’s now back in an Avro shirt on a permanent basis this time, much to the delight of Avro manager Grant Shenton.
I’m thrilled to announce that Jack has chosen to join Avro, despite significant interest and strong offers from other clubs. After several great conversations, it’s clear he has the maturity and the qualities we need to take the club forward. Jack was at the top of our list for the new season, and we’re buzzing to have him on board. He brings a unique dimension to the squad, and we can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have. Watch this space – exciting times ahead! Welcome, Jack!”
Jack Kenny also spoke of his delight to join Avro on a permanent basis and expressed how a previous stint with The Ro impacted his decision to join back on a permanent basis.
I’m really happy to join Avro and I can’t wait to play in the npl west next season. The manager sold his project to me which seemed to align with my ambitions and my style of play. When I was previously on loan at Avro, I was impressed by the togetherness and structure of the club so I know what I am coming into. I can’t wait to get started!
Welcome to The Vestacare, Jack!
