Avro begin their journey at Step 3 on Saturday 8th August as we welcome Quorn FC to The Vestacare Stadium. The Ro come into this game after a successful pre-season, which ended on Saturday 1st August with a 3-1 win over Blackburn Rovers U21S.
Although Quorn have been at Step 3 for a full season longer than the Ro, Quorn will be participating in the Northern Premier League Premier Division this time around after being transferred from the Southern League Premier Division Central. The visitors come into this game after a goalless draw against Banbury United in their final pre-season fixture.
Once again, your support will be much appreciated inside The Vestacare Stadium as it will bolster the squad forward in our first season at Step 3. We wish a safe journey to travelling Quron fans and anyone else travelling to The Vestacare.
Quorn FC:
Founded in 1924, Quorn FC have had many ups and downs over their long history, but their recent history has seen their most success. In the 2024/2025 season, after narrowly missing out on promotion to Step 3 the season before, the Methodists would dominate the NPL Division One Midlands as they would win the title with 103 points, earning promotion to Step 3 for the first time in their history and only losing one game during the league season. Last season, Quorn finished in 8th place in the Southern League Premier Division Central and were only five points outside the playoffs by the end of the season, despite being a newly promoted side. They now look to replicate what they achieved last season but in a new league with new opponents.
Head to Head:
With the start of the season underway on Saturday, neither side has met any side yet, let alone each other and this match will be the first meeting between Quorn and Avro in a competitive fixture.
